Day 3 - Cannes, France

The kids slept well last night.

I didn't get to bed until 1:00 a.m. I'm pretty sure there is a nightclub right above our room with some serious bass that pumps until 1 in the morning. Other than that, I slept fine. The motion of the ocean hadn't bothered me at all - thank goodness (although the sea bands and Xanax are close by, just in case).

We woke up and had a leisurely morning. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the kids did a little mini golf and roaming around.

As we pulled into Cannes, France we could see lots of beautiful boats, pretty mountains and lovely beaches.

We had to take a small boat, called a tender over to the land since the cruise ship couldn't dock there. It was a short ride over with about 120 people at a time.

Cannes beach.

We didn't have a planned excursion here so we took it easy and just walked along the beach area.
There were lots of high end shops...Prada, Gucci, and more.

This is where the Cannes Film Festival happens.

Came across a big carasoul and the kids had a ride or two.

Then we headed back towards the ship.

We passed LOTS of amazing yachts. One after another.

We got back to the ship around 12:30 and headed to lunch. Afterwards the kids went to the Ocean Beach Club to play (kids club) and I took a nap by the pool and relaxed with Brian for a bit. I picked up Cameron and he wanted to play mini golf with me and then do the water slide with Brian before dinner time.

Tonight was formal night so we put on our fancy clothes and headed to the dining hall.

The food on board has been fantastic! After dinner, the younger kids wanted to head to bed and Alexander wanted to play at the club some more so he went off for another hour while we got ready for bed.

We are sailing through the night to Italy and when we wake up we are heading off for a full day in Pisa and Florence!
