Al Ain Trip–Sheik Zayed Museum

We decided to take a mini-break to Al Ain during the kid’s Christmas break.

Al Ain is part of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.  We live in the main city and Al Ain is about 1.5 hours away.  It is much greener there and there aren’t that many people there as there are in Al Ain.

One of the first things we did was to stop at the Sheik Zayed Museum.  He is the father of the country and his original house was in Ai Ain.  It has been turned into a museum.

A practical old, desert car…nothing like what they drive today.              The Zayed family tree.  Not sure how exactly you read it though.

And to think, this was a dream kitchen 40 years ago in Abu Dhabi!

Not sure why the wife’s family lived in a “ward”.  Is that a poor translation?
